Kinesiology in the Dandenong Ranges · Clinic in Upwey & online

When you're stuck, exhausted, anxious or burned out, it's your body trying to tell you something.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Something keeps coming back – physically, emotionally, or in your relationships – and you can’t think your way out of it
  • You’re carrying stress, fatigue,  anxiety or overwhelm in your body and want to address the root, not just the symptoms
  • You feel stuck in a pattern – a way of reacting, a belief, a tension that you’re ready to change
  • You’ve tried other modalities and while things shifted, something still feels unresolved
  • You want to understand yourself more deeply so you can be more of yourself.

That’s exactly who I work with.

Hi, I’m Vittoria – scientist turned kinesiologist, in the Dandenong Ranges.

I help people decode the patterns their body has been trying to communicate: the compensations, the unprocessed experiences, the places your system learned to clench and never fully release.

You’re not stuck because you haven’t tried. You’ve paid attention, done the work, looked for answers. And yet something keeps returning: a tension, a heaviness, a way of responding that you can’t quite think your way out of.

That’s not a flaw. It’s information. Every symptom has a logic, the body is always trying to tell you something, in the only language it has.

It keeps coming back. Not because you’re doing it wrong, but because the pattern lives somewhere thinking alone can’t reach.

The body holds what the mind can’t always explain. That’s where we start.

My clients don’t just feel better. They understand themselves differently.

What actually happens in a session

Kinesiology uses gentle muscle monitoring to identify where your energy and stress patterns are held.

Think of it as a conversation with your body, one that bypasses the thinking mind to find what’s actually going on underneath.

Each session is tailored to you. I may use acupressure, essential oils, flower essences, tuning forks, or somatic techniques, whatever your body indicates it needs in that moment.

Clients come in stuck. They leave having shifted something real, moving forward in ways they didn’t expect, and often calling it life-changing.

Sessions run approximately 60 minutes · Available in-clinic  in Upwey (Dandenong Ranges, VIC) and online for clients across Australia and internationally.

How we can work together

Kinesiology

Kinesiology goes where thinking alone can't. Body-based work for the patterns, blocks, and symptoms that keep coming back. Not by analysing them - by working directly with what the body is holding.

Transformational Coaching

Focused work on a specific goal. Starting with where you are and what's in the way. Then aligning to where you want to go, building a plan, and moving into action - one achievable step at a time.

Why working with me?

I came to kinesiology through science, which taught me rigour, method, and a deep awe for how living systems work.

I also know that you are more than any single framework can fully explain, and that the most interesting territory lives at the edges of what we currently understand.

I don’t choose between the scientific and the energetic. I use both  and that’s what keeps this work grounded, precise, and genuinely open to what your body is actually telling us.

  • Diploma of Kinesiology, 15 years in practice
  • PhD, Ethology and MSc
  • AIK registered — Australian Institute of Kinesiologists
  • Mindset Coach — Mindset Results Coach, 2023

My formal qualifications are the foundation. Sixteen years of continuous training across kinesiology, Chinese medicine, qigong, somatic and coaching modalities have added more layers that I can fit in here. And I’m still learning.

In my clients words

"Vittoria has been truly life-changing for me. From the moment I started seeing her, it was clear how incredibly knowledgeable she is, but what stands out even more is the genuine care she brings to her practice. She takes the time to explain everything thoughtfully and with such consideration, which always makes me feel supported and understood. One of the things I really appreciate is how Vittoria integrates science into her practice. She combines a deep understanding of the body with evidence-based knowledge, which gives me so much confidence in the care I am receiving. This thoughtful approach has helped me better understand what is happening in my body and why, making each session feel both empowering and meaningful. Vittoria is highly skilled and educated and under her care I have seen amazing results. She has supported me in so many ways, including but not limited to, helping me manage anxiety and stress, strengthening and supporting my immune system, and improving my overall wellbeing in ways I didn’t think were possible. I feel so grateful to have found her, and I cannot recommend Vittoria highly enough to anyone looking for someone who is both deeply compassionate and exceptionally talented at what she does.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is kinesiology and how does it work?

Kinesiology uses gentle muscle monitoring to communicate directly with your whole body – bypassing the thinking mind to find what’s actually going on underneath. It identifies where stress, emotions, and unprocessed experiences are held in the body, and supports your system’s natural ability to rebalance. Think of it as a conversation your body has been waiting to have.

Kinesiology works across a wide range of physical and emotional concerns:

  • chronic stress
  • anxiety
  • fatigue
  • pain
  • digestive issues
  • hormonal imbalances
  • sleep difficulties
  • limiting beliefs
  • patterns that keep repeating, no matter how hard you try to think your way out of them.

If something keeps coming back and you haven’t been able to get to the root of it, that’s exactly where kinesiology tends to work best.

Balancing the adrenal glands is usually the first thing I do in a session. They are your body’s stress response system, and in most people carrying anxiety, they are working overtime.
From there I work with whatever the body shows as a priority: the emotional, mental or physical pattern that is locking your system in stress and generating the anxiety response. One of the things I find most useful about this approach is that you don’t need to be able to name or explain your anxiety. Even when you can’t pinpoint why you feel the way you do, the body always has an answer.
Not all kinesiologists work in the same way, this is mine.

You remain fully clothed while I use gentle muscle testing to identify where your body’s stress and energy patterns are held. From there I may use acupressure, essential oils, flower essences, tuning forks, or somatic techniques, whatever your body indicates it needs in that moment.

Sessions run approximately 60 minutes.

Each session is completely tailored to you.

This depends on what you’re bringing and what you’re hoping to shift.
A single session can produce a real and noticeable change – but without reinforcement, that shift often remains temporary. New pathways in the body and nervous system need time and repetition to take root.
For a minor concern, a minimum of 3 sessions gives something more solid to build on.

For deeper or longer-standing patterns, 4–5 sessions followed by a maintenance session every 4–6 weeks tends to produce the most lasting results.

We can talk through what makes sense for you on the free 15-minute call, once I have a clearer picture of your terrain.

Most therapies work either top-down — through the mind, language, and conscious insight – or bottom-up, through the body alone. Kinesiology works with both simultaneously. It doesn’t rely on you being able to articulate what’s wrong, and it doesn’t require you to relive difficult experiences to process them. It goes directly to where the pattern is held and works from there.

The honest answer is that formal research on holistic kinesiology is limited. This is not because kinesiology doesn’t produce results, it’s because kinesiology is fundamentally relational and individual. A headache in one person is treated differently from a headache in another.

The session itself, the relationship between practitioner and client, the specific acupressurepoints: these are unique every time. That makes it genuinely difficult to study using the tools designed for measuring standardised treatments.

What I can tell you is that after 15 years in practice, I have seen consistent, real shifts in the people I work with. The absence of large clinical trials reflects the limitations of current research tools, not the limitations of the work.

Holistic kinesiology is rooted in the same principles as Chinese medicine and the 5 elements framework is one of its core diagnostic and treatment tools.

In Chinese medicine, the 5 elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) are a map of how energy – or Qi – moves through the body.

Each element corresponds to specific organ systems, emotions, physical symptoms, and patterns of behaviour. When Qi flows freely, we feel well and resourced. When it doesn’t, we tend to see the same symptoms, emotional responses, and stuck patterns showing up again and again.

In practice, I use the 5 elements both to understand what’s happening for you – which system is out of balance, what emotions are involved, and why certain patterns keep returning – and as part of the correction work itself, to support your body back into flow. It gives the work a map.

Rather than addressing symptoms in isolation, we can see the whole picture: what’s connected, what’s driving what, and where the body most needs support.

The quiz on my website is a gentle introduction to this framework, a way to start recognising your own patterns through the lens of the 5 elements before we even meet.

Kinesiology works with the body to release what’s held beneath the surface. It’s ideal for a wide range of physical and emotional concerns.

Coaching is goal-focused, it’s for when you know where you want to go but need structure, accountability, and a clear path to get there.

I offer both because real change often needs both: something to clear what’s in the way, and something to build what comes next.

They can be worked on separately or woven together, depending on what you need.

Kinesiology sessions cost $120 for a 60 min session

Transformational coaching  is usually offered as a multi session program and the cost depends on the number of sessions and the level of support you need.  If you wish to book a coaching program, book a free 15-minute call and I’ll guide you from there.

In Australia, a qualified kinesiologist typically completes a Diploma in Kinesiology, which takes around two years of full-time study, covering anatomy, physiology, Chinese medicine principles, and extensive supervised clinical practice.

I’ve been in practice since 2012, hold a PhD in Ethology and an MSc, and I am registered with the Australian Institute of Kinesiologists (AIK).

Yes. I offer sessions both in-clinic in Upwey, Dandenong Ranges, and online for clients across Australia and internationally.

Online sessions are equally effective: the muscle monitoring is adapted using surrogate or self-testing techniques, and many clients find the privacy of their own space actually supports deeper work.
